A zulgorn is a creature that can permanently bond with another, acting and thinking as one. Once bonded, they can become a lot stronger, though due to their permanent bond, they'd always be in a constant pregnancy cycle.
Zulgorns have a darkish cyan skintone. They have seemingly human-like hands and feet, and seem to have opposable thumbs. They have sharp saw-like teeth with long fangs at the front and tusks at the back, and their jaws are fairly wide.
While they have fur over their entire body, though it's a lot thinner near the head and appendages, and there is next to no hair on the chest area and face.
Most seem to grow horns. There seems to be no difference in the shape and size of the horn between male and female zulgorns.
While individual, both the males and females look alike in many ways. You could only tell them apart by either their genitals or, once they're developed enough, by their breasts or lack thereof, though the latter method isn't always as reliable. They always walk on four limbs, and very rarely stand straight. Due to the way their head is attached to their necks, they have trouble looking forward when standing upright.
Once bonded, their entire torso and part of the lower body seems to be completely fused together. They retain most of their bodies, and most of the organs are still separate, with only some being shared between the two bodies. While the heads seem to always lie side by side, the male head has enough flexibility to move the head freely to the other side. If you take a better look, you'll see that the neck of the male head is behind the female's.
Bonded zulgorns also seem to have two shoulder blades with their own pair of arms, and while their pelvic area is completely merged, they still have four legs. Because their pelvic area is merged, naturally their digestive tract only has one end point.
While their genitals do seem to be merged into one, they still retain their reproductive system, which explains the continuous cycle of pregnancy.
There are legends about zulgorns and their conception, though whether these events actually happened is debatable. Still, because this story is shared over every part of Arvarva, there might be some truth to it.
The basic premise is always the same. Two individuals who commit similar crimes are captured by a hero, and cursed to forever be in union. In some stories, they're enemies, a warring queen and king, in others, they're siblings, but the crimes are mostly the same, either murdering, raping or forcing people into sex work. Because of that, once captured and put to trial, they're bound together and locked up in a dungeon for the rest of their lives. After their deaths, their vengeful spirits became the zulgorns.
